Join us for the 2026 International Women's Day Event hosted by AFRICaide and 4W in Madison, Wisconsin! This event began in 2014 when a group of 29 women from the Madison-area community gathered to hear from local change-makers, celebrate area leaders championing women’s and girls’ rights and empowerment, and strategize on advocacy for proactive policy on women and girls locally, nationally, and internationally. Over the years, our attendance has grown to hundreds.

The highlights of our yearly program include:

• A Global Marketplace where local women vendors sell their products and exhibitors promote their organization's mission.

• An intergenerational panel featuring women from the community who share their experiences and knowledge with our attendees followed by a Q and A.

• Intentional moments throughout the day where attendees can ground themselves, sing, dance, and find joy or relief through body movement, led by local women experts in wellness.

• The presentation of Trailblazer Awards that celebrate those in our community going above and beyond in their professions, personal lives, and/or volunteering to uplift women and girls both in the Madison area and beyond.
